Walk me through planning a fleet's day — how many vehicles, and how did you build the plan?
Give the scale (vehicles, drops, geography) and your build order: fixed commitments first, then volume, then backloads to kill empty running. Utilisation numbers impress.
Tell me about a plan that looked fine on paper but would have put a driver over their hours. How did you catch it and replan?
Planners keep the operator licence safe: show you plan with breaks, queues and real road speeds in, not theoretical ones — and that legality beats the customer promise.
Tell me about a morning it all fell apart — drivers sick, a truck off the road, a trailer in the wrong depot. What did you do first?
