Pick a product you use and love. How would you improve it?
The classic product-sense opener. Structure it: users, their unmet need, two or three ideas, pick one with reasons, say how you'd measure it.
Two big customers want conflicting features and you can only build one. How do you decide?
Zoom out from the two customers to the strategy and the wider market. Show you'd gather evidence, decide transparently, and manage the loser well.
How do you choose success metrics for a new feature — and what guardrails would you pair with them?
One north-star tied to user value, guardrails against gaming it, and the failure threshold you'd act on. Honesty about a failed metric impresses.
Describe a time you had to convince an engineering team to change course late in a build.
Show you brought new evidence, acknowledged the sunk cost openly, and let the team own the how. Respect is the mechanism of influence.
Tell me about a launch that went wrong. What did you do in the moment, and afterwards?
